As the title says, the switch to control the front passenger window from the driver side has suddenly stopped working. I can still control the passenger window from the passenger door switch. I also have not recently replaced my battery or made any other modifications. I tried the 10-second reset trick that some others have posted about ...
Just in case anytime else finds this thread, it's easy to reset the power windows, just roll window all the way down, then up halfway, then pull the button all the way to the auto position up and hold it until about 5 seconds after the window is fully up. Done. To reset the drivers power window, its something like (from vague memory): Turn ignition on (engine off), hold window switch in the ‘down’ position, continuously till the window is all the way down. It works with other brands too, Subarus do have this very odd wierd quirk related to it that I haven't seen in other brands, if the battery dies, the passenger window has to be reset, no idea why, but it's something I run into all the time at my work, it's easy to do, roll up, hold 5 seconds, down, hold 5 seconds, fixed
