You can get 35's on there but only if you go with a positive offset wheel and it will still require minimal trimming. I would say at least a +18 offset wheel with a 5" backspace. Somebody is trying to upsell you. You shouldn't need a 6 inch lift to clear 35s. 4 inch will clear 35x12.5 and if you're willing to do some slight fender cutting, you can clear 35x14.5. 6 inch lift should clear 37x14.5 possibly 38s.
