I think the only reason it's possible in this game is that there's a good chance of the train being beneath you when you go off the ramp (either the metal one that appears or off of a glider ramp) in a normal game and you'd need to be able to drive on it briefly, like on Super Bell Subway.
The Tour version of Kalimari Desert destroys the purpose of the track. The unique and amazing thing of Kalimari Desert was the function of the train. It was so funny to barely escape it, while all the people behind you had to wait 7 seconds to drive again. Now with the new version this never happens, a bit sad.
