As far as Empowered gems go, you're only looking to slot gems either stellar or crystal that are 3* at level one. Stats are important and you'll typically want to target physical damage crit hit and crit dmg as your primary stats (eventually you'll max out crit hit, but should definitely work on maxing it out quickly). The only ones that matter if they started with 2 or 3 stars are empowered gems, and you can tell by looking at the stat boosts, assuming you have them at +15 lvl you should have acquired all of the boosts which for a 3 star would be 3, but for a 2 star it would just be 2, which is the problem that they have since you can't add boosts on a gem. 2.
