When I would apply brakes and turn I would getting a pumping sound in the brakes. I had it diagnosed and it came back front left wheel speed sensor.To disengage VTM-4, you must follow any one of these steps: Press the "VTM-4 Lock" button so that the indicator light turns off. Move the shift lever to "D" (drive). Turn the ignition switch to the "lock" or "0" position. Once the VTM-4 Lock disengages, your Honda Pilot goes back to its VTM-4 auto mode.VTM-4 LIGHT is the 4x4 option you can use when your in the auto shift gears 1 and 2. When you put the shifter in 1 or 2 gear, you can push the VTM-4 button on dash and you will engage the 4 wheel drive constently. If you switch out of 1st or 2nd gear it will disengage automatically. The VTM-4 also works in reverse gear. Question type: Maintenance & Repair. 2007 Honda Pilot, the VTM-4 and battery. light came on, the car started bucking and. heard a whining sound. I turned the car off. and let sit a couple hours and lights went off. But battery light came in again after driving it.

It was not replaced with a Honda Alternator as I was told those were on backorder and they had no idea when they would be in. Got the car back all seemed good. 8 days later I leave for work and the battery and vtm-4 light come on. The VTM-4 light would almost always come on after driving between 100 feet and a mile. Just adding here, what worked for me, finally. Scan showed 23-01 knock sensor fail (among other things) I changed the VTM-4 fluid, and replaced the VTM-4 oil temp sensor. No change.
